Come join the Veterans Music Workshop! We are a group of veterans who meet on the first Thursday of every month at the Ritz Theatre/Cornerstone Residence located at 111 Broadway in Newburgh, 5-7:30pm. At our meetings, we will have presenters from the local music community speak about their instruments and experiences. We will also delve into songwriting and hone our own skills on our own instruments. We expect to play together as a band and perform independently in the interest of sharing with others. If you don’t have an instrument, that is okay! Some have been donated and are available for use. We also intend to explore the local music scene with trips to music venues and open mic events for the purpose of performing and/or listening and learning. Ultimately, we hope to bring our music, and a better understanding of veteran issues, to the public through performances and discussion at the many music events occurring throughout the region.
